Welcome to the Fantastic Saturday & ASL East Coast ConferenceOn Saturday and Sunday, November 22-23, Bethel Baptist Church will be celebrating its 30th year of serving the deaf community. In addition to this celebration Bethel Baptist will also be hosting the Fantastic Saturday & ASL East Coast Conference. All churches, including ASL interpreters, ASL teachers and deaf are invited for a time of learning, fun, games, dinner, fellowship and sharing of ideas. Conference Speakers
Rob Campbell, Senior Pastor
Pastor Rob Campbell grew up in Canton, Ohio and then went on to graduate from Bob Jones University with a Bachelors degree and then later a Master of Arts in Bible. For nine years Pastor Campbell served as the youth pastor of an exciting and growing ministry in Denver, Colorado before coming to serve as Bethel’s senior pastor in 2005. His priorities of ministry are 1) teaching people to passionately love God with all their heart, soul and mind; 2) emphasizing close and loving family relationships; 3) developing a heart for local and world evangelism; and 4) training the next generation to love and serve God.
Tom & Joan Vannatta, Deaf Ministry Directors

Mr. & Mrs. Tom Vannatta have faithfully led the Bethel Baptist Church Deaf Ministry for more than 25 years. They demonstrate a great burden for the deaf and hard of hearing. Mrs. Joan Vannatta will be teaching the Introduction to Sign Language.
Jon Barr Family, Silent Word Ministries

Jon Barr and his family began serving as missionaries to the deaf in 1984. Jon began learning Sign Language in 1976, Diane in 1981. Rebekah and Joshua grew up around Sign Language. Jon currently holds a CT certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). Jon will be overseeing the RID certification.
Don Chevalley, Deaf Ministry Leader
Don Chevalley leads the deaf ministry at Capital Baptist Church in Annandale, VA. Don will be speaking to the deaf husbands on our anniversary weekend.
Mike Green Family, Silent Word Ministries
The Mike Green family has a burden to help deaf people get saved and learn God's Word. Trained through the ministry of Silent Word, Mike and Kim are deaf people with a heart for reaching deaf people. The Greens are currently raising support so they can help existing deaf ministries evangelize the lost and grow. Mike and his wife will work with the deaf teens on our 30th anniversary weekend.
Rachel Vannatta
Rachel Vannatta is an active member at Bethel Baptist Church. She serves by interpreting for the deaf during the BBC service. Rachel will be overseeing the children's ministries to the deaf this weekend.
