Your First Visit

Bethel

Welcome to Bethel Baptist Church!

Visiting any church for the very first time would make anyone nervous. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? We want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Bethel Baptist will be refreshing, friendly and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people and a place where you feel welcome and "at home"!

What should I expect for my children?
Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child! At every service on Sunday morning there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For the infants, mothers will receive a pager so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes.

These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

What's on the schedule for adults, and what should I expect?
Most adults attend the Bible Study Hour at 9:30am for a smaller, informal class that is taught by a knowledgeable teacher. This is an excellent time to get to know others in our church family as friends and fellow Christians. Following the Bible Study Hour at 10:30am is our Morning Service. In this service you will enjoy the beautiful music of the choir, ensembles and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful and inspiring Bible message from Pastor Campbell. We do recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to allow for parking and seating.

Are there services at other times?
Yes. We have a Sunday evening service (completely different from Sunday morning) that begins at 6:00pm. Again, in this service you'll enjoy the special music as well as a message from Pastor Campbell. We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm for a mid-week Bible study. If you can't be our guest on Sunday morning, we hope you'll visit with us during another service time.

Family
How should I dress?
We have found that most folks tend to dress up when they go to a special event or a special place. Our pastors and teachers, as well as many of our church family, wear the traditional "Sunday" best. We want you to be comfortable for your visit to Bethel Baptist Church.

offering
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. As our guests we want you to feel no obligation to put anything in the offering plate. The service is our gift to you.
