Rainbow Ministry

In 1974, a Sunday school teacher saw the need to provide better learning opportunities for children that didn’t fit into the average Sunday School class. The Rainbow Ministry was begun to provide Bible training that is specifically designed for children and adults that have special needs. 

Our Rainbow Ministry has been recognized by a local organization (BARC) for its accomplishments with mentally challenged individuals. The award reads, “Bethel Baptist Church has made a significant contribution toward expanding life opportunities for people with disabilities.”

Each Sunday morning Bible Study classes are geared to minister to the abilities of students ranging in age from 6 to 80 years old with singing, prayer time and a Bible study lesson. A church time that combines all the classes follows at 11:30 AM and ends at 12:00 noon.
